Your home office

How to find inspiration and adapt to the available space

Here is my first layout project, tailored and very simple to carry out for anyone who would like to install their home office.

I confess that I first called an interior designer who gave me some valuable tips, but I decided to do the layout alone in the end with furniture that I had.

First, you have to know the characteristics of your space and learn by doing:

  • The space here is very small (about 5 square meters), but enough to install the essentials.

  • The room is bright and you can close the door to work quietly.

  • Personally, the development was long and laborious - more than a year - to achieve this result, because I also had other priorities to sort out.

  • One of the longest steps was deciding to buy a drill and make holes in the concrete walls myself, but I learned.

  • On one of the walls, my goal was to install a hanging shelf for a more organised look, just above the desk. It's very practical!
